This is Zyder (seen earlier sans-wings), a character I play in our Dungeons and Dragons game.
Recently, he died in our game (sacrificing his own soul to bring back Bahamut, because he'd promised the Dragon Goddess he would, though not knowing he would be martyring himself at the time). Anyways, so as a gift from Bahamut, Zyder is being brought back... but his soul had been shattered. So, pieces had to be put in from other sources... dragons.
He's being brought back eventually, and when he does, this is his new form.
(Note the changes: horns, wings, no nose-ring.)
Anyways, Zyder is Copyright Arthur Dreese 2004.
Drawn in pencil, fixed in Photoshop CS. I have a block-colored version, but I suck as a colorist. *sigh* Someday...

Wow.... :eyepopping: I really admire the muscle definition and structure, and how small his head is...he has a really nice facial expression and I like the horns...or whatever they are.

Aww, I'm really glad he's getting a second chance, I hate it when handsome beast-men get killed ... if his soul is being patched up like that, though, will it still be him? Or will his personality be changed?

Personality change:
I don't know yet... it depends. Right now I'm playing a gruff character (a barbarian elf named Garau) who's Chaotic Neutral. But Zyder was Lawful Neutral.. but leaning towards True Neutral. But being infused with Draconic soul-parts.. I haven't decided. I almost made him red dragon... but haven't really decided yet. He was more of a "let's think this stuff over before we get too hasty" sort of fellow... for being big and bulky, he was more of a pack-mule than a dominating character in the game (one of the problems you have when you've lost several characters and most players are still on their first or second). Oh, well.. there's a chance I may never even get around to seeing him played again if our group keeps starting after 6pm and my normal bedtime is 8pm (have to get up for work at 4am). That and the latest story may wrap up soon/before he has a chance to be resurected. Oh, well.

Thank you for liking the drawing... I think... ;) You didn't really say you did. ^.^

:confused: Whoa, I didn't, did I? I got too caught up in the story! ^^; Well, yes, I sure did like it! His outfit is neat and he has such a cute kitty expression on his face. I would like to see the block-colored version, even though you don't like it. ;)

good? Hardly.. I just masked the gray and colored under it in block colors.
I just did a slight job of coloring to give an idea.. but if you want to see some great digital coloring, just take a look around.. Anry or VegasMike... so beyond beyond..

Just because someone else is exceptionally good at coloring doesn't mean I can't enjoy yours. :) I liked the colors you chose and thought it worked very well with the drawing.

Thanks, man. But I have a hard time drawing him to look the same from pose to pose. *sigh*
I'm supposed to be working on a comic book for someone too, but I never seemed to be able to get around to it, nor do the panels in a way that looked decent. I penciled an intro page, and after that.. bleh.

Anyways, thanks for makin' him a Favorite too. ^.^
